Crackdown on illegal gambling sites in Cambodia

The Telecommunications Regulator of Cambodia recently took decisive action against illegal lottery websites by blocking 15 internet sites. This move is in line with the Royal Government guideline No. 07, issued on August 18, 2019, which aims to eliminate domains operating illegally in Cambodia.

Majority of illegal gambling websites traced to Vietnam

A significant number of these illegal gambling websites were found to be operating from Vietnam. Among these, the well-known Vietnamese lottery website Vina24h was included. To ensure effective enforcement, the regulator has urged the public to share any information regarding online gambling services or illegal lotteries in Cambodia through their Facebook page.
